Wool farmer in the Karoo, Chief Flight Instructor and Branch Manager at 43 Air School and National Airways Corporation. From 2006, I flew commercially for the UN WFP and various oil companies in Africa.

In 2014, I became Ops Manager for Solenta Aviation in West Africa and later Ops Director at Air Express Algeria. Currently, I’m Flight Ops Manager at Cape Town Flight Training Centre.

Life blessed me with years in exciting, albeit challenging countries. The experience, people and locations enticed me to write.

A counterbalance is the scenic Western Cape, family around the stove, and reading Bryson, Eggers, McCarthy, Newby, Thesiger, and other classics.
